Regional Sales Director, Central

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?


The Regional Sales Director is responsible for driving growth in revenue, profit and new share, and managing and leading a team of District Managers and their teams. The primary focus is on building the Specialty Concrete Chemicals (SCC) sales districts under their leadership into integrated entities capable of delivering best-in-class commercial execution against the business's financial and strategic priorities.


The incumbent will work to ensure goals and targets are met annually by implementing business strategies for margin enhancement, strategic product growth, and productivity gains. This includes managing wealth, share, assessing competitive threats, and developing a sales opportunity pipeline.


The Regional Sales Director will also be responsible for implementing sales strategies for new and existing technologies, products and programs. Developing, maintaining and building strong customer relationships to maximize customer satisfaction and Construction Chemicals profitability are critical for success in this role.


The Regional Sales Director will lead and develop the team by practicing and encouraging communication, recognition, support and sharing of best practices among sales, service, and technical representatives assigned to Region. They will also be called upon to identify high-performers within the team that can be developed to take on higher levels of responsibility over time.


They will work with Construction Chemicals Operations to forecast anticipated demand to ensure proper product inventories are in place and work with customer service and dispatch to ensure delivery resources and routing are maximized for efficiency.


IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, or other relevant field with a Master's Degree preferred.
  • This role also requires 8+ years of experience in Strategic Account Management, 8+ years of experience in Business Plan Development, and 5+ years of Relevant Experience in Building Materials or related industries.
  • The incumbent must also:
    • Possess a no-fear attitude towards making cold calls to generate new business leads and follow up on potential opportunities
    • Management Experience managing a team of Account Manager
    • Excellent effective communication
    • Strong Organizational Skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Experience working within a CRM system
    • Entrepreneurial-minded individual who has a strong understanding of how business works at different levels from management up to creating new avenues in which businesses can grow into successful competitors within their industry
    • Proven negotiation and presentation skills; ability to persuade and influence decision makers
    • Openness to New Experiences/Inquisitiveness - possess a natural curiosity, creativity, desire to learn, and a hungry mind
    • Thrives when working in a fast-paced, highly polished, and professional atmosphere

Certifications/Licenses:

  • ACI Level One Certification is strongly preferred.

BENEFITS IN JOINING US

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $165,500 to $264,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 30% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $215,150 to $343,850. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee. This role may also be eligible to participate in the Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program which is awarded annually at management’s discretion.
