Regional Sales Manager

Job Summary

The Senior Sales Manager will lead and manage the sales function for our chain of retail stores selling tiles and sanitaryware. This role requires a strong strategic vision, excellent leadership skills, and deep knowledge of the building materials / home improvement retail market. The ideal candidate will drive sales growth, optimize store performance, develop the sales team, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain high standards of product knowledge and merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve or exceed revenue Targets for all retail outlets.
  • Conduct market analysis (competition, trends, pricing) and identify growth opportunities (new segments, products, store expansion).
  • Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets per store or region.
  • Monitor sales performance and take corrective action when needed.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop sales teams (store managers, sales associates).

Set up performance metrics and KPIs; conduct regular performance

reviews.

  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture.

Area Responsibilities Store Operations & Merchandising

  • Ensure stores are merchandised to maximize product visibility,

appeal, and cross-selling of tiles and sanitaryware.

  • Coordinate inventory management, stock levels, ensure availability

of key SKUs.

  • Work with supply chain / procurement to ensure timely and

cost-effective product deliveries.

Customer Experience &

Relations

  • Maintain high standards of customer service; ensure customer

feedback is collected and acted upon.

  • Work to resolve escalated customer issues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, contractors,

architects, interior designers, etc.

Marketing & Promotion Collaborate with marketing to plan and execute in-store and

external promotions, events, product launches.

  • Use promotions and merchandising to increase footfall and sales

conversion.

Reporting & Analysis Generate regular reports on sales, inventory turnover, product

performance, etc.

  • Use data to make decisions: which products to push, which to phase

out, which stores need support.

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field. (Master’s preferred)

 Minimum 5-8 years of experience in retail sales / building materials / home

improvement, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

 Deep knowledge of tiles and sanitaryware products and the related supply chain /

manufacturing / design trends.

 Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

 Strong analytical skills: able to work with sales metrics.

 Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal skills.

 Able to motivate teams, handle conflict, and drive performance.

 Customer-centric mindset.

 Strong planning, organizational & time management abilities.

 Negotiation skills.

 Proficiency in relevant tools: Microsoft Office (especially Excel),

Additional Qualifications

 Experience working with architects, builders, interior designers, etc.

 Understanding of international tile and sanitaryware standards, designs

Working Conditions

 Travel to retail stores across region / chain is required.

 May involve working on weekends or holidays during peak season or promotions.

 Fast-paced retail environment, need for flexibility.

 Competitive base salary + incentives / commission tied to sales targets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs200,000.00 - Rs350,000.00 per month

Experience:
