Role Summary:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share within the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sectors in Pakistan. This role requires a strategic professional capable of managing high-value B2B relationships, navigating the regulatory landscape of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), and positioning hard gelatin capsule products as the preferred choice for local manufacturers.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and convert new business opportunities within the local pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to increase the adoption of hard gelatin capsules across various therapeutic segments.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.

2. Key Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major pharmaceutical firms, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct regular technical presentations and product demonstrations to plant managers, procurement heads, and R&D teams.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial inquiry and sampling to contract negotiation and final delivery.

3. Technical Liaison & Compliance

  • Collaborate with the production and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure products meet the specific technical requirements of clients' filling machines.
  • Ensure all sales activities and documentation comply with ISO standards and DRAP regulations.
  • Address technical queries regarding capsule dissolution, shelf-life, and storage conditions.

4. Forecasting & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and budget plans.
  • Maintain an accurate CRM database of client interactions, lead pipelines, and sales performance metrics.
  • Provide regular feedback to the manufacturing unit regarding customer demands for specific sizes, colors, or printing requirements.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (Pharm-D), Chemistry, or a related Life Sciences field. An MBA in Marketing or Sales is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of B2B sales experience, specifically within the pharmaceutical packaging, excipients, or raw materials industry in Pakistan.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing process and the functional properties of hard gelatin capsules.
