Position Overview
The Regional Sales Manager – Midwest is responsible for leading regional growth initiatives and expanding provider awareness, referrals, and strategic partnerships for Spravato (esketamine), an FDA-approved treatment for treatment-resistant depression.
This role will focus on developing relationships with psychiatrists, behavioral health organizations, and healthcare systems across the Midwest while driving regional strategy to increase patient access to advanced depression treatments.
The ideal candidate brings strong pharmaceutical or specialty healthcare sales experience, a deep understanding of behavioral health markets, and a proven ability to build high-value provider relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesRegional Growth Strategy
- Develop and execute regional sales and market expansion strategies for Spravato treatment programs
- Identify high-value markets, provider networks, and healthcare systems across the Midwest
- Analyze referral patterns and behavioral health market trends to guide growth initiatives
Provider & Health System Partnerships
- Establish and maintain relationships with psychiatrists, behavioral health providers, hospital systems, and integrated care networks
- Educate providers on clinical indications, patient eligibility, and treatment protocols for Spravato therapy
- Serve as a trusted resource for providers exploring advanced treatment options for treatment-resistant depression
Sales Leadership & Performance
- Drive referral growth and territory performance metrics across the Midwest region
- Manage outreach activities, provider engagement, and partnership development through CRM systems
- Present performance insights and growth opportunities to executive leadership
Market Development
- Represent the organization at regional behavioral health conferences and medical meetings
- Support the launch of new treatment sites and expansion into new Midwest markets
- Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities for strategic differentiation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with clinical teams, intake coordinators, and operations to ensure smooth referral pathways
- Partner with marketing teams to develop provider education initiatives and outreach campaigns
- Support onboarding and education for new referral partners and healthcare systems
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical device sales
- Demonstrated success in territory development and provider relationship management
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the Midwest region
Preferred
- Experience selling psychiatric, neurological, or specialty pharmaceutical therapies
- Existing network within behavioral health or psychiatric provider communities
- Experience working with hospital systems and integrated healthcare networks
- Familiarity with reimbursement pathways and specialty treatment programs
