The Regional Treatment Court Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the treatment court operates in accordance with national best-practice standards and for providing local leadership, oversight, and collaboration with the treatment court team and stakeholders. The position involves administrative, organizational, and technical responsibilities within the Vermont Judiciary’s Division of Planning and Court Services. The individual also works closely with community service providers engaged in efforts to intervene in and break the cycle of substance use disorder and crime.
The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and interpersonal skills and professional experience in a legal or social services setting. This individual must work well with court staff to ensure that the appropriate cases are identified and transferred into the treatment court docket. It is essential that this individual maintains cooperative customer service-oriented relationships with program service providers including treatment agencies, community organizations, probation department, defense counsel, prosecution, judicial officers, and other court staff.
This is a full-time, limited-service position in White River Junction, Vermont. Starting salary is $27.50 per hour with full State of Vermont employee benefits. The limited-service term will end 9/30/2028 and is subject to the grantor’s annual funding renewal. This is a Judicial Branch position equivalent to pay grade 23. The State of Vermont’s total compensation package features an outstanding set of employee benefits that are worth about 30% of your total compensation.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Public Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Health Administration, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Behavioral Science, Social Work, Psychology preferred).
Experience: One year in a judicial/legal or social service setting with administrative duties or two years in social work, counseling, or related field with administrative duties, or one year in drug court administration.
OR
Education: Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or related field.
Experience: Three years in a judicial/legal or social service setting with administrative duties or three years of work in counseling, social work or related field with administrative duties, or three years of work in drug court administration.
Additional years of related judiciary experience, or experience as defined above may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a semester for six months basis.
Summary of Duties:
Scheduled hours of work generally conform to public court hours, but assignments may extend beyond those hours. Occasional travel to other courts within the State of Vermont may be required. Travel will be reimbursed according to State policies. This position will be eligible for longevity increases in accordance with the State step pay plan and annual cost of living increases as enacted by the Vermont State Legislature. Job Code #25092
