Registered Dental Assistant

Job Description:

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office, and providing exceptional patient care. Your skills in Dentrix/Open Dental will be essential for managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and facilitating efficient workflows. Additionally, your knowledge of CAMBRA protocols will contribute to patient education and care.

Your duties will involve assisting the dentist during treatments, preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, taking x-rays, stocking and ordering supplies, preparing lab cases/lab slips, providing post-operative instructions to patients, and educating them on proper oral hygiene practices. Your attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA regulations will ensure accurate documentation of patient records.

Experience working with patients of all ages is highly desirable as it demonstrates your ability to create a comfortable and positive environment for all patients. Your familiarity with dental coding processes will also contribute to efficient billing procedures for front office team.

Duties:

- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures

- Set up and breakdown treatment rooms

- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment

- Take dental x-rays and CBCTs

- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene techniques

- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

-Prepare lab cases/lab slips accurately

-Completing daily checklists to ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner

Skills:

- Proficiency in Dentrix/Open Dental dental software systems

- Stocking and ordering supplies

- Familiarity with dental coding and billing processes

- CAMBRA protocols

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

- Strong organizational skills for managing dental records and documentation

- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members

Hours:

Clinical Hours: Tuesday - Friday 8am - 4pm
