Registered Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing chairside assistance, managing clinical procedures, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for every patient. Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained
  • Take and develop X-ray images while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols
  • Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and medical coding
  • Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments
  • Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
  • Operate advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to communicate effectively with team members and patients
  • Ensure all clinical areas are clean, organized, and compliant with infection control standards

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent credential
  • Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
  • Proficiency in EMR systems like Dentrix or Dentrix Ascend
  • Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization protocols
  • Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during procedures such as X-ray imaging, vital signs collection, and medical imaging
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, patients, and administrative staff
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Team player able to prioritize and multitask.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
