We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position with a consistent weekday schedule, offering a great work-life balance with long weekends every week.
Candidates must either have prior dental assisting experience or be currently enrolled in a dental assisting program.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures involving standard general dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly with proper infection control protocols
- Use of digital dental X-rays and Primescan Intraoral Scanner
- Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Use of Dentrix dental software
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health.
- Assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and reduce anxiety.
- Support administrative duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing dental records efficiently.
Skills
- Proficiency with Dentrix (or ability to learn the software)
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and medical imaging procedures.
- Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry
- Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while complying with HIPAA standards for patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other clinical staff. Join us in creating healthier smiles! Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Experience:
- Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) (Preferred)
