Registered Dental Assistant

Overview:

seeking a F/T or P/T Expanded Function Dental Assistant for our brand new, modern, non corporate dental practice.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs

- Place restorations, make temp crowns, place sealants, apply fluoride varnish etc.
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Make impressions of patients' teeth for study casts
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records

Skills:

- Strong Communication Skills
- Experience with Eaglesoft, Digital radiography, intra oral cameras
- Familiarity with dental terminology and coding
- Ability to work with patients of all age groups
- Understanding of infection control practices
