Registered Dental Assistant/DA

We are seeking a dental assistant who would like to work in a positive, enjoyable, fast-paced atmosphere who pays attention to detail and has an excellent chair side manner. Someone who can grow with the dental office and who loves making children smile just as much as we do and works great with kids and adults. We have a beautiful kid friendly modern office, a wonderful patient population, an enthusiastic team, and a sincere dentist dedicated to quality care. We are looking for a quality-oriented and reliable individual, who is friendly, energetic, and has a great attendance record. Excellent chairside manners, along with communication and people skills are a MUST.

Limited experience is welcome with a great attitude and willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri ( Wednesday & Sunday Closed )

- 9:50am-6:00pm

Saturday

- 8:50am-2pm

Expected hours: 35 per week

Responsibilities:
Support clinical and administrative dental operations to provide safe, efficient, patient-centered care and optimize practice productivity.

  • Clinical Support / Chairside Assisting
  • Prepare operatories and set up trays/instruments for procedures.
  • Assist dentist during restorative, endodontic, periodontal, extraction and other procedures.
  • Maintain suction, retraction, and instrument exchange; anticipate dentist needs.
  • Mix and transfer dental materials (cement, alginate, restorative materials) per manufacturer and office protocol.
  • Take, process, and mount intraoral and extraoral radiographs
  • Monitor and document patient vitals as required.
  • Provide postoperative instructions and education to patients.
  • Infection Control & Sterilization
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and operatories according to CDC and OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality in all records and communications
  • Follow OSHA, CDC, and state regulations for safety, waste disposal, and exposure control
  • Maintain instrument inventory and sterilization logs.
  • Ensure proper PPE use and disposal.
  • Patient Management & Communication
  • Core competencies:
  • Chairside assisting and instrument handling
  • Infection control and sterilization
  • Patient triage and communication
  • Radiography acquisition and processing
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality in all records and communications
  • Familiarity with Dentrix and YAPI workflows
  • Time management, teamwork, HIPAA compliance
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: infection control training, chairside assisting course
  • License/Certification: DA or RDA Certification

Experience :

  • Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
  • RDA: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • X-ray (Preferred)

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
