Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and dental hygiene procedures, with a focus on delivering high-quality services in a welcoming environment. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, patient assessments, and supporting overall patient education while maintaining strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote optimal oral health.
• Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
• Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment.
• Monitor and review medical records for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation review.
• Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient record keeping.
• Support pediatric dentistry cases by applying specialized knowledge of pediatric dental care and anatomy.
• Ensure all clinical areas are sanitized and organized according to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state licensure.
• Proven experience in general dentistry settings with familiarity in dental assisting procedures.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices.
• Proficiency with Dentrix is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively.

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
