Registered Dental Hygienist

Springboro Family Dentistry is looking for a part-time dental hygienist to join our team. We are seeking someone for 2 to 3.5 days per week. We can be flexible on the specific schedule. We are a friendly, privately owned practice that is growing. Our team works together well and helps each other whenever needed.

The ideal candidate will provide quality dental care and promote oral health in a professional and compassionate manner. We are seeking someone who is motivated to excel at their responsibilities as a dental hygienist, but also someone who is willing to be collaborative with the dentist as the practice grows and develops. **Responsibilities:**

- Conduct dental cleanings and assist dentists during examinations

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care

- Perform dental charting and take patient medical histories

- Administer local anesthesia under the dentist's supervision

- Take dental X-rays and assist with other medical imaging procedures

- Maintain and sterilize dental instruments using aseptic techniques

- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in electronic health record systems

- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality

**Requirements:**

- Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program

- State licensure as a Dental Hygienist

- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding

- Knowledge of patient assessment techniques

- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques for infection control

- Experience with electronic health record systems
