Job Description Post: Staff Nurse

Organization: Jiban Suraksha Nursing Home

Location: Bodra, Ghatakpukur, West Bengal

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients as per doctor’s instructions and hospital protocols.
• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and progress regularly.
• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments accurately and safely.
• Assist doctors during medical procedures, rounds, and emergencies.
• Maintain proper nursing records, treatment charts, and patient documentation.
• Ensure infection control practices and maintain hygiene standards in wards and ICU.
• Handle medical equipment and instruments with care and report any malfunction.
• Attend emergency situations promptly and provide first-line nursing intervention.
• Guide patients and attendants regarding care, medications, and hospital rules.
• Coordinate with ward staff, OT staff, ICU team, and hospital administration.
• Follow duty rosters, shift timings, and emergency call requirements.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical nursing standards at all times.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: GNM / ANM / B.Sc Nursing (recognized institution)
• Registration: Valid Nursing Council Registration (West Bengal or applicable state)
• Experience:
• Freshers may apply
• Experience in hospital/ICU preferred
• Skills:
• Good communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge (preferred)
• Ability to work in shifts and under pressure

Reporting To

• Nursing Superintendent / Hospital Head / Duty Doctor

Working Conditions

• Shift-based duty (Day/Night)
• Emergency and holiday duties as per hospital requirement

Code of Conduct

• Must follow hospital rules, discipline, and professional ethics
• Any issue must be reported to the Hospital Head Team before escalation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹6,086.00 - ₹15,939.35 per month
