This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about caring for intermediate‑acuity patients who require close monitoring, clinical expertise, and a strong interdisciplinary approach to care.
About the Role:
The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit delivers safe, effective, and patient‑centered nursing care to adults requiring continuous assessment and specialized interventions. You will monitor complex patients, administer medications, interpret cardiac rhythms, coordinate with physicians, and support patients and families throughout the care process. This fast‑paced clinical setting requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to respond quickly to patient condition changes.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN).
  • Current Louisiana RN license or eligibility to obtain prior to start.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within designated timeframe.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, communication abilities, and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high‑acuity, team‑oriented environment.
