Regulatory Filings Analyst – Insurance

Los Angeles, CA | On-site | Accounting/ Finance

Knight Insurance Group is a specialty property and casualty insurance company based in Los Angeles. We manage a diverse portfolio of commercial and specialty insurance programs, with a strong focus on disciplined underwriting, financial stability, and regulatory compliance.

We are seeking a Regulatory Filings Analyst to support our accounting and compliance teams with statutory and regulatory submissions across multiple jurisdictions. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our insurance entities remain fully compliant with state insurance department requirements and financial reporting deadlines.

Pay Range: $70,000—$80,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file quarterly and annual premium tax filings across multiple states.
  • Coordinate the submission of financial statements, jurat pages, and supplemental filings to regulatory authorities.
  • Prepare and maintain compulsory and security surplus filings, deposit schedules, and related correspondence.
  • Track regulatory deadlines and ensure timely, accurate submissions.
  • Reconcile premium and financial data used in state filings.
  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, and compliance teams to gather supporting documentation.
  • Maintain organized filing records and assist during audits or regulatory reviews.
  • Monitor regulatory bulletins and updates that affect filing requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in insurance regulatory filings, premium tax compliance, or statutory accounting preferred.
  • Familiarity with NAIC reporting, state insurance departments, and regulatory submission portals (e.g., OPTins, SERFF) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with statutory reporting systems a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple filing deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
