Job Title: Relationship Manager – Contracting

Role Objective :
The incumbent will be responsible of serving as the primary point of contact for the assigned portfolio of the contracting clients. The jobholder will work with existing clients to help them make the right decisions regarding their accounts and guide on the financial services and credit solutions on offer to them. The incumbent will also be responsible for identification of possible credit sales opportunities and generate new business for Doha Bank in terms of the sector. The incumbent will review credit applications and provide recommendations to the senior management on lending viability.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Contribute towards and assist in implementation of the Contracting sector section strategy.
- Support the team in the implementation of the strategy, annual business plans, budgets, policies and procedures of the Contracting section.
- Originate, maintain and develop relationships with the clients to expand Contracting Sector credit portfolio.
- Promote the Bank’s cash management, working capital, trade finance, payments, collections and other commercial products and services to realize growth objectives.
- Enhance profitability of the section through sales of financial solutions to the Contracting Sector entities, including but not limited to cash management, working capital, trade finance, payments, collections and other commercial services.
- Coordinate with various Department/Section Heads within the Wholesale Banking function, to consolidate cross sales efforts.
- Work independently with the assigned clients to understand their business needs and associated banking needs.
- Receive and review credit applications from new or existing Contracting sector clients.
- Review Internal Credit Rating and RAROC for all lending clients and update same on annual basis or as and when a new facility is granted, new information available etc.
- Work closely with the ARMs/ Credit Analysts to examine the credit applications, including financial statements and translate the financial soundness of these clients onto credit assessments before providing credit recommendations to the Credit Committee.
- Responsible for service and account management needs of designated Contracting Sector clients of Doha Bank.
Qualification & Experience:
- University graduate with a degree in Business or Banking or Finance or any other related discipline.
- Master’s degree in Management any other related discipline will be an added advantage
- Professional certification such as CFA/ CPA/ CA and or CMA is preferable
- 08-12 years of total experience in financial services/banking industry, entailing responsibilities pertaining to the specific area of discipline.
- Experience in business / relationship management in Contracting sector, with strong understanding of the local banking industry.
- Familiarity with best practices and standards in various economic sectors
- Knowledge of wholesale banking
- Understand broader industry trends relevant to Contracting Sector
