These destructive forces have taken countless lives ranging from our children to our elders; it has taken the hope and prosperity from entire communities and entire generations. As a company, as individuals, we could no longer sit on the sidelines and wait for the next horrific travesty to occur so we created The Community Enrichment and Stop the Violence Initiative using our experience as a government contracting company combined with many private equity firm strategies. Our team has worked on government contracts totaling over 1 billion dollars, through this we have been able to assist with helping over 26,000 individuals build over $500,000,000 in wealth. We have seen the power of building wealth within communities across the country and the positive life-changing results, because of this and our desire to help stop the out of control gun violence and crime in our communities across the country we have created The Community Enrichment and Stop the Violence Initiative to help stop these community destroying elements.

The Community Enrichment and Stop the Violence Initiative at its core is a National Economic Empowerment and Gun Violence Reduction Movement; we will utilize Community Wealth Building, Community Education-Opportunity, Individualized Inspiration-Transformation, Tailored Professional Assistance, and Collective Community Investment Education as a tool to create positive community change, especially in communities with elevated gun violence, mass poverty and crime. As we grow, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Administrative Assistant to keep our HR related operations running smoothly and help us build a supportive, inclusive workplace.

Role Overview

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will provide day-to-day HR and administrative support across the employee/independent contractor lifecycle. You’ll be the go-to person for HR queries, onboarding, record-keeping, and HR systems, helping ensure our policies and practices reflect our mission and values. This role will include research duties, admin duties, onboarding duties, and program support duties.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys organization, process, and supporting people—and wants their work to contribute to positive social change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, files, and HR databases/HRIS
  • Support recruitment processes: posting jobs on Indeed and other platforms, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
  • Coordinate new starter paperwork and assist with onboarding and orientation
  • Track employee attendance, leave, and other time-off requests
  • Assist with drafting HR documents, including contracts, letters, and policy updates
  • Support payroll preparation by collecting and verifying timesheets and changes (e.g., new hires, leavers, salary changes)
  • Respond to basic HR-related inquiries from employees and managers in a timely, professional manner
  • Help coordinate training sessions, performance review cycles, and staff engagement activities
  • Support Administrative Program Success Activities
  • Support HR compliance and audit requirements (e.g., right-to-work checks, certifications, mandatory training)
  • Contribute to HR projects that promote well-being, diversity and inclusion, and staff development

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Previous experience in an administrative, HR assistant, or office support role
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Discreet and professional, with the ability to handle confidential information
  • Comfortable using MS Office/Google Workspace and HR systems or databases
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Genuine interest in social impact, ethical business, and people-centered work

Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Experience in an HR support role (HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, HR Administrator)
  • Familiarity with HRIS/HR software and applicant tracking systems
  • Basic understanding of HR processes and employment documentation
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, charity, or social enterprise environment
