We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced legal professionals with strong backgrounds in legal analysis, practical problem-solving, and real-world domain expertise.

This role supports an exciting collaboration with a leading frontier AI research laboratory focused on advancing research and infrastructure for next-generation machine learning systems through domain-specific task creation and problem-solving workflows.

Selected professionals will create tasks and deliverables based on common requests and real issues within their professional domain, helping support advanced AI research through practical legal expertise and realistic advisory context. This opportunity is especially well-suited to lawyers with strong written communication skills, independent working ability, and real-world experience handling legal requests, structured analysis, and domain-specific problem-solving.

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

4+ years of professional experience as a lawyer or in a closely related legal role

Strong written communication skills with excellent grammar and spelling

Comfort creating realistic domain-specific tasks and deliverables

The ability to work independently and manage structured project work effectively

Practical experience handling common legal requests, issues, and workflows within their field

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with legal drafting, legal research, advisory work, compliance, litigation, contracts, or related legal functions

Ability to translate real-world domain knowledge into structured, high-quality task creation

Familiarity with workflows that require clear communication, independent judgment, and practical legal reasoning

Contract Details

Independent contractor role

Fully remote with flexible scheduling

Hourly compensation of $90–$150 per hour

Expected workload of approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 30+ hours

Project starts immediately and is expected to last approximately 3–4 weeks

Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project needs and performance

Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise

Work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution
