Responsibilities

• Research and investigate news stories, ensuring accuracy and relevance through thorough fact-checking and verification.
• Write clear, concise, and engaging articles adhering to AP style guidelines, maintaining journalistic standards.
• Capture high-quality photographs and videography to complement written content, enhancing storytelling with visual elements.
• Edit and proofread articles for clarity, grammar, and consistency before publication.
• Produce multimedia content including videos and social media posts to reach diverse audiences effectively.
• Manage social media channels by posting updates, engaging with followers, and monitoring trending topics.
• Collaborate with editors and fellow reporters to develop story ideas that resonate with the community.

Requirements

• Proven experience in journalism or related fields with strong writing skills and a portfolio of published work.
• Proficiency in AP style, editing, proofreading, and copy editing to ensure high-quality content.
• Skills in photography and videography, including basic video production techniques.
• Ability to conduct thorough research and fact-checking to uphold journalistic integrity.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview sources effectively.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling coverage of diverse communities.
• Familiarity with social media management tools and platforms for content distribution.
