Reporting Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & MIS Executive with strong expertise in Advanced Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll data, generating reports, automating processes, and ensuring accuracy through data validation and analysis tools.

Key Responsibilities:1. Payroll Processing & Data Management

• Handle payroll calculations including salary, overtime, deductions, and allowances
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records
• Ensure compliance with company policies and payroll regulations

2. Advanced Excel Operations

• Use advanced formulas such as IF, IFS, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS
• Apply lookup functions like VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH
• Create nested formulas for complex salary structures and deductions

3. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Build and manage Pivot Tables & Pivot Charts
• Analyze payroll trends, overtime, and deductions
• Generate MIS reports quickly and accurately

4. Data Accuracy & Validation

• Implement Data Validation to prevent incorrect entries
• Use Conditional Formatting to highlight anomalies (duplicates, missing data, errors)

5. Data Cleaning & Automation

• Use Power Query to import, clean, and transform payroll/attendance data
• Automate repetitive data preparation tasks

6. Excel Optimization

• Create and manage Excel Tables & Named Ranges for dynamic reporting
• Improve efficiency in formula management and data handling

7. Automation using Macros & VBA

• Develop Macros/VBA scripts to automate:
• Payslip generation
• Payroll reports
• Data processing tasks
• Reduce manual effort and improve processing speed

Required Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong knowledge of Payroll processing
• Experience with Pivot Tables, Power Query, and VBA/Macros
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Experience in payroll or MIS reporting roles
• Familiarity with HR/payroll software is a plus
