We are seeking a detail-oriented Reporting & Data Analyst with strong expertise in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and medical billing processes. This individual will be responsible for building, maintaining, and analyzing reports to provide actionable insights that support operational efficiency, reduce denials, improve collections, and optimize financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, automate, and maintain reports/dashboards on billing, collections, denials, AR, reimbursements, and claim performance.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, revenue leakage, root causes of denials, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Partner with billing, coding, and finance teams to provide insights for reducing AR days, improving clean claim rates, and increasing revenue capture.
- Utilize RCM-related tools and software to extract, validate, and interpret data (e.g., Waystar, Availity, Epic, Kareo, eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, or similar).
- Monitor KPI metrics such as Days in AR, denial rates, rejection rates, net collection rates, and payer reimbursement trends.
- Support leadership with ad-hoc reporting requests and data-driven recommendations.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of experience in reporting/analysis within medical billing, healthcare finance, or RCM.
- Proficiency with reporting tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Strong understanding of claims lifecycle, and RCM workflows.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
