Reporting Specialist (Medical Billing)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Reporting Analyst with a strong foundation in finance and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and automating financial reports to support strategic business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate raw data into actionable insights and contribute to financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, automate, and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, variances, and actionable insights for business decision-making.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to improve budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
Translate business needs into well-structured Excel reports, models, and presentations.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all financial and operational reporting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Continuously review and improve reporting processes for efficiency and scalability.Support audit and compliance by ensuring complete and traceable financial documentation.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience in a Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, or Revenue Cycle Analyst role in a medical billing or finance-driven environment.
Proven expertise in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, Power Query, and macros).
Strong knowledge of financial principles, including forecasting, budgeting, P&L, and variance analysis.
Experience working with ERP systems, BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), or SQL is a plus.
Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to present findings to non-technical audiences.
