Job Description:

• Conduct mostly secondary research on a variety of topics (focusing on macroeconomics, technology, and financial themes) and sources, ranging from Press Reviews to Industry Reports to Market Studies and Statistics.

• Hands-on experience writing bespoke reports, viewpoints, whitepapers, thought leadership pieces, etc.

• Display a profound understanding of the Research processes.

• Good understanding of macro-economic topics including key indicators and their connection to the market dynamics across the economy.

• Should have the flair to work across different domains of the global economic landscape with good business acumen.

• Updated with current events in the industry and ability to identify key trends shaping economies today.

• Should be able to bring an industry understanding of their client's organization which would include products, customer segments, competitive forces, and trends shaping the industry.

• Should be able to bring valuable insights to the deliverable and adhere to best delivery standards.

• Working knowledge of sources like Bloomberg, Thomson Eikon, Wall Street Journal, Statista, Oxford Economics, Factiva, Focus Economics, OECD, World Bank, IMF, Zawya, Eurostat, etc.

• Effectively manage research requests intake, participate in scoping calls to clarify understanding, and prepare detailed scope documents.

• Confident in dealing with challenges and responding with rationale.

Top Skills/Candidate Requirements:

• Fluent in English and Arabic: Speaking, Reading, and Writing.

• Candidates must be willing to adhere to a night shift schedule, operating from Saturday through Wednesday (07:00 PM to 04:00 AM, Cairo Time).

• Excellent communication, listening, and writing skills.

• Ability to ensure that tasks within areas of responsibility are completed in a timely manner.

• Strong analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities.

• Possess a flexible & detail-oriented attitude.

• Eye for detail and ability to identify and solve issues effectively and on time.

• Attitude to working as part of the team and quality-proofing work of junior team members.

• Prior experience in a market/ business research field is preferred.

• Prior experience in industries like News, Tourism, Culture, Finance, Governmental is preferred.

• Research professional with a strong interest in the global economic domain.
