Research and Development Engineer

Responsibilities:

· Conduct scientific and technical research to develop new products or improve existing ones.

· Optimize tobacco blends, flavor profiles, and delivery systems to meet consumer preferences and regulatory standards.

· Improve manufacturing processes for consistency, efficiency, and quality control.

· Conduct chemical, physical, and sensory testing of prototypes and final products.

· Work with marketing, legal, and production teams to align product development with business goals.

· Research and ensure compliance with relevant product technology regulations and standards in target markets.

· Create accurate and reliable documentation of product development activities, ensuring the integrity and validity of the results.

· Continuously review and improve R&D processes to enhance efficiency, reduce time-to-market, and increase innovation capacity.

· Act, live and behave by BAGU core values and the same are resonated among the teams.

Requirements:

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

· A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an R&D management role within the FMCG industry.

· Experience in FMCG, tobacco, or regulated consumer goods industry preferred.

· Strong knowledge of product development lifecycle and lab testing methodologies

· Familiarity with regulatory standards and documentation practices

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

· Proven track record of success in product development and innovation.

· Strong knowledge of R&D processes, project management, and regulatory requirements.

· Proficient in the use of R&D management software and other relevant tools.

· Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
