We are seeking a Metal Application Engineer/Researcher specialized in
precious metals
(gold, silver, and platinum group metals) to lead R&D and pilot projects focused on metals and industrial applications. This role entails developing and implementing innovative metal alloys, additives, and processes, while ensuring compliance with quality regulations and industrial standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead R&D and pilot projects in gold, silver, and platinum group metals, covering refining, alloy development, melting, casting, rolling, forming, and product-level applications.

Design and implement technical solutions for traceability and authentication of precious metals, ensuring scalability from lab trials to industrial production.

Build and maintain a proprietary library of molecules and additives for precious metal marking and integrate them into alloys and processes.

Identify and engage metallurgical laboratories and subcontractors to test metal formulation through master alloy preparation, melting, processing (casting, rolling, forming, coiling...), and full quality testing across different metal families

Develop and execute comprehensive R&D plans & manage time lines,including test design, experimental trials, data collection, analysis, and solution validation.

Coordinate proof-of-concept (POC) pilots and client scale-up trials, managing subcontractors, metallurgical laboratories, and international partners.

Ensure compliance with metallurgical and industrial standards (ISO/ASTM) throughout research and scale-up phases.

Prepare and deliver professional technical reports, protocols, and presentations for management, clients, subcontractors, and investors.

Supervise researchers, oversee laboratory operations, and provide leadership in project execution.

Manage project-related administrative tasks including expenses, invoices, and data tracking.

Conduct field visits to monitor industrial trials and client projects.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

Master’s degree in Metal Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.

Minimum 7 years of industrial R&D experience in
precious metals
(gold, silver, and PGM) alloy development, refining, melting, casting, and related processes.

Strong technical writing skills for drafting protocols, reports, and formal communication.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven with the ability to work independently.

Analytical thinker with innovative problem-solving capabilities.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a holistic perspective.

Expertise in R&D, alloying, and scaling up research into industrial-scale applications.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
