Stanford University is seeking a Life Science Research Professional 2 to perform more complex functions and activities involved in defined research projects, and independently conduct a portion of the research project(s).
The people and programs comprising Stanford Radiology are world-renowned. Stanford Radiology continues to push the boundaries of innovation in physics and engineering to develop cutting-edge methods for enhanced anatomic and functional imaging. Our diverse multidisciplinary teams of scientists, together with industry collaborators, are creating new methods for the early detection of cancer using molecular imaging, nanotechnology, and systems biology. They also continue to develop improved and more targeted methods for least-invasive, and compassionate cancer patient care.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Our diverse team is looking for a research assistant with excellent written and verbal communication skills to assist with laboratory and computational studies. Applicant should have a B.S. degree in at least one of the following: biological sciences, chemical sciences, or physical sciences, mathematics, computer science, engineering, biostatistics. Computational researchers with a limited biology background (but strong interest in learning about biological processes and wet-lab techniques) and biologists with mathematical, computational, or programming experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Job responsibilities include: performing and summarizing literature searches; assisting with data collection, annotation, and analyses; assisting with basic computational modeling work; assisting with basic laboratory experiments.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree in related scientific field and two years of relevant work experience; or Master’s degree in a related scientific field.

The expected pay range for this position is $85,376 to $99,581 per annum.
