JOB SUMMARY:


This position will require the candidate to work on battery-related modeling and analysis. This mainly refers on battery state estimation, experiments are not required.

JOB DUTIES:


40% - Essential - Battery state estimation algorithm development, which includes state of charge, state of power and state of health estimation algorithm development, integration, and simulation. Algorithms will be designed for the whole battery pack level. The candidate is expected to be able to develop the algorithms using Matlab m files.

30% - Essential - Software implementation: developed algorithms will be implemented on real world battery management systems. Expected battery management system integrated circuits will be Dana OPEN ECU or Texas Instrument products.

30% - Essential - Report writing: The candidate will need to write formal reports to summarize findings. Reports will also be communicated to groups in the way of seminar presentations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Education - High School or Equivalent
Work Experience - 0+ years

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:


Education - 1st Bachelor's Degree - Automotive or Electrical Engineering

RESPONSIBILITIES

COMPENSATION INFORMATION


Expected Pay Up To $21,000.00


Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
