Position Summary

The Humanities and Social Sciences Research Centre at Ajman University is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to join our dynamic team. As a Research Associate, you will work closely with faculty and researchers on various projects within the humanities and social sciences domains. You will play a critical role in conducting research, analysing data, and contributing to the development of scholarly publications. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to collaborate with experts in the field and make a meaningful impact on academic research.

Responsibilities
  1. Research Support:
    • Collaborate with senior researchers and faculty members on research projects.
    • Conduct literature reviews.
    • Collect, organize, and analyse data using various research methods and tools.
  2. Data Analysis:
    • Perform statistical analysis and interpret research data using relevant software and techniques.
    • Prepare comprehensive research reports and summaries for various projects.
    • Contribute to the development of research papers and publications.
  3. Project Management:
    • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of research projects.
    • Manage project timelines and ensure that research activities are conducted efficiently.
    • Assist in obtaining research grants and funding opportunities.
    • Assist in organising the meetings and workshops.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to research.
    • Communicate research findings through presentations, reports, and academic publications.
    • Participate in the organisation of conferences and academic events to network and present research findings.
    • Participate to the Newsletter's editing.
  5. Compliance and Ethics:
    • Ensure that research activities comply with university policies, ethical standards, and regulations.
    • Maintain research data integrity and confidentiality as required.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. degree in a relevant field within the humanities or social sciences.
  • Strong research skills and a solid understanding of research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a research team.
  • Prior experience in academic research and publication is an advantage.
  • Being bilingual or trilingual is an advantage.
  • Experience in writing Research Grants proposals is a main advantage.
  • A list of research publications.
