Sample preparation Mixing and testing for SBB Plastics Lab for QA, Technical Service, Quality Complaints and New Product Development. Summarize data and test results and enter into LIMS; generate and maintain laboratory documents to ensure prompt and high-quality service to test requestor. Generate and ensure accuracy in precision in testing data of SBB Plastics lab. Maintain all SBB Plastics laboratory instrumentation in a good working order.
Key Result Area

Safely execute routine analyses via prescribed laboratory procedures to generate reliable and accurate lab results and report the same.

Safely perform mixing and testing on samples as per the requested test plan within requested completion date and prepare test record.

Report results and maintain clean and organized lab and test equipment.

Equipment management & Vendor Coordination

Ensure all instruments in Labs

are in good working condition.

Schedule and coordinate vendors for preventive maintenance AMC, Calibrations and service of all instruments in scale-up Lab & main Lab. Maintain equipment history cards.

Manage and report lab results.

Generate reliable and accurate lab results, enter into LIMS, and report data to job requestors.

IATF / ISO Quality System

Perform roles & responsibilities of a Lab Technician as per defined in ISO-17025 standard.

Adhere to Quality Objective & Policy of Lab. Ensure Impartiality, Confidentiality and Integrity of test results

Maintain internal quality records datasheets & reports.

Maintain traceability of samples

Report any abnormality of the test facility or results.

Participate in QMS, Internal & External ISO17025 Audits.

Safety
-
Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines.

Strictly adhere to the Taloja Lab Safety Policies and Manual, including all SH&E and Environmental Protocols.

Participate in safety audits and evaluations of laboratory operations, Implement improvements and timely closure of safety audit observations.

Maintain sample management storage to comply with 5s protocols.
Knowledge Skills and Ability
-
Exposure to mixing and testing of inks and coatings (and plastics) involving a range of mixers and test methods.

Skill and proficiency in working in a laboratory setting, including safety health and hygiene, sample preparation and testing, LIMS and data reporting, and ISO Certifications.
Related Education & Experience
-
Diploma in Polymer Science, Colloidal Science, Chemistry.

3-5 years of experience in testing of plastics materials.
-
Ability to work with others with outstanding communications skills and teamwork.
Ability to handle strong workloads, and rapidly changing priorities
