Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Associate I in the Center for Immunity and Inflammation within the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS).

Under the direction of faculty member, the Research Associate I is responsible for the independent conduct of a significant element of a larger research activity. Designs and conducts highly specialized and technical research.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Performs various research and clinical technical operations independently or as assigned, relating to investigatory activities of a laboratory, followed by appropriate reports, recommendations and conclusions.
  • Participates in the development of performance standards, selection of methodology and instrumentation and coordination of the analytical, biochemical, physiology and instrumentation functions with the clinical and research areas to ensure conformance with the goals and objectives of the department.
  • Conducts a continuous program of research and development regarding the analytical and instrumentation functions of the laboratory, constantly evaluates existing procedures where required to keep methodology and procedures current.
  • As requested, assists in the implementation of the programs and projects in special areas of interest to the department.
  • Generates, compiles and presents statistical data with appropriate conclusions, recommendations, etc. pertinent to research activity.
