Job Details

Responsibilities include wet bench research, data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation and submission of applications for external funding for research projects. Overseeing the work of technicians, post-docs and students is also a function of the position.

Job Description

This faculty position requires a PhD in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology.

As the Manager of the CryoEM Facility at Jefferson you will assume a critical role in the comprehensive management and upkeep of the Cryo-EM facility, overseeing essential equipment such as the Glacious microscope, and Vitrobot, along with associated hardware and software. Ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and best practices in Cryo-EM operations, the manager will provide expert guidance to researchers on experimental design and sample preparation, offer hands-on training and technical support to users, and actively contribute to the development of innovative Cryo-EM workflows and methodologies.
