The Hurd lab in the Department of Psychology is seeking a Research Project Coordinator to assist with the management of a longitudinal study tracking the social, occupational and mental and physical health outcomes of a cohort of young adults who formerly attended UVA.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision and training of undergraduate research assistants and part-time staff

  • Tracking and corresponding with participants

  • Data cleaning and management; data analyses

  • Managing and coordinating the collection of online surveys and physical health data

  • Assisting with manuscript preparation and other dissemination efforts

  • Assisting with research proposals

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience tracking and corresponding with participants
  • Experience managing and coordinating the collection of online surveys and physical health data
  • Experience with data cleaning and data management and analysis
  • Experience assisting with manuscript preparation and other dissemination efforts

Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

Salary Range

  • The anticipated hiring range is $22.50 - $25.00 hourly ($46,800 - $52,000 annualized) , commensurate with education and experience.

Position Type & Work Location

  • This is a non-exempt-level, benefited position. Learn more about UVA benefits.
  • This is a restricted position, which is dependent on funding and is contingent upon funding availability. This position has a term limit of 12 months after which continued employment will depend on department need and funding.
  • This position is based in Charlottesville, VA, and is eligible for a hybrid schedule, with additional on-site presence as needed, in accordance with UVA’s remote work guidelines.
