Description:

The Social Influences and Health Behaviors Lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of Houston seeks to hire a non-tenure track Research Scientist to oversee research operations for multiple NIH-funded projects focused on alcohol use interventions among college students and young adults.

The successful applicant will be asked to manage IRB submissions and amendments, prepare NIH reports and grant applications, coordinate participant recruitment and retention, deliver behavioral interventions, contribute to manuscript preparation and dissemination, supervise and train undergraduate research assistants, facilitate coordination with multi-site collaborators, handle financial reimbursements and compliance, program and test surveys in Qualtrics, provide clinical oversight for study procedures, construct data dictionaries, organize team meetings, develop research protocols, document procedures, and manage data integrity and analysis.

Applicants should have an advanced degree in Psychology or a related field. Experience in alcohol intervention research, regulatory compliance, multi-site project coordination, qualitative and quantitative data management, team supervision, and respectful participant engagement is strongly preferred. This position is for one year, beginning as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal.
