The Pu Lab in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at the University of New Mexico is seeking a highly motivated Research Tech/Life Science to support ongoing research focused on metabolic regulation and organelle biology. This position will primarily involve mouse work, with additional responsibilities in laboratory support and management.

Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Cell culture and aseptic technique
Western blotting and molecular cloning
Basic cell biology and molecular biology techniques
Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, or a related life science field
Minimum of one year of relevant laboratory experience, especially involving in animal work
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
