Resident Care Coordinator (Tues-Sat) Med tech and Caregiver

The Resident Care Coordinator plays a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality, person-centered care for residents in our assisted living community. This position oversees the daily care operations, supports and trains caregivers, assists with medication management, and ensures compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, organized professional who holds a current Med Tech or Caregiver certification and a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, support, and mentor caregiving staff to ensure quality resident care and compliance with all policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate resident care plans in collaboration with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Monitor residents’ health status and communicate changes promptly to the appropriate parties.

  • Assist with medication management, including oversight of medication administration and documentation per Arizona state guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records, care notes, and incident reports.

  • Participate in new resident assessments and coordinate move-ins and care transitions.

  • Schedule and assign caregiver shifts as needed to ensure adequate coverage.

  • Conduct regular audits of care services, documentation, and medication administration.

  • Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented environment that supports resident dignity and independence.

  • Respond promptly to resident needs, emergencies, and family inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current Arizona Caregiver or Certified Med Tech certification.

  • Must possess a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, or similar senior care environment preferred.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.

  • Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to resident well-being.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and assist residents as needed (up to 50 lbs).

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.

  • Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations.
