Resident Engineer

Job Description

The Resident Engineer will play a vital role in the successful execution of a waterfront development project. They will be responsible for on-site supervision, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring the project adheres to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant infrastructure development in the UAE.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site inspections and provide detailed reports on progress and any issues encountered.
  • Oversee the installation of beach and underwater breakwater structures, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
  • Manage and coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project requirements.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring they remain within the allocated budget.
  • Implement and maintain a robust health and safety program on-site, in line with industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the project team to discuss progress, challenges, and potential solutions.
  • Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and provide regular updates to the project manager.
  • Maintain effective communication with the client, addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
  • Assist in the resolution of technical issues and provide innovative solutions when required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 15-20 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in waterfront development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools for project management and documentation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards in the UAE.
  • Valid professional engineering license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Willingness to work on-site and adapt to a dynamic project environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges.
