Job Title: Resident Medical Officer (RMO) – Ayushman Bharat Department

Job Summary:
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) in the Ayushman Bharat Department is responsible for coordinating and supervising patient care under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, ensuring compliance with government guidelines, timely admission, documentation, and discharge processes. The RMO will act as a key liaison between the hospital administration, consultants, and the Ayushman Bharat desk for smooth operation of empaneled cases.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care & Clinical Duties:
- Attend Ayushman Bharat patients during admission, treatment, and discharge.
- Conduct clinical assessments and coordinate with consultants for treatment plans.
- Ensure timely rounds and patient follow-up as per hospital protocol.
- Respond to medical emergencies and support in stabilization.
2. Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure all Ayushman Bharat case files are completed accurately as per NABH and scheme requirements.
- Maintain detailed case sheets, consent forms, investigation reports, and treatment summaries.
- Coordinate with the Ayushman Bharat desk for e-card verification, pre-authorization, and claim documentation.
- Assist in audit preparation and respond to any query raised by TPA/government authorities.
3. Coordination & Communication:
- Liaise with consultants, nursing staff, billing, and the Ayushman Bharat team for smooth patient flow.
- Ensure timely discharge summaries and completion of Ayushman Bharat documentation for claims.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment and scheme coverage.
4. Administrative Support:
- Support the department in maintaining accurate daily census and patient records.
- Participate in hospital committee meetings and Ayushman Bharat review meetings.
- Monitor and report scheme utilization, bed occupancy, and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure strict adherence to hospital policies and biomedical waste management protocols.
5. Training & Quality:
- Participate in ongoing clinical and Ayushman Bharat policy training programs.
- Support in internal audits and contribute to maintaining NABH standards in the department.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: MBBS from a recognized university with valid registration.
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in hospital settings (experience with Ayushman Bharat/TPA cases preferred).
- Skills:
- Sound clinical knowledge
