Job Summary
The Residential Construction - Field Associate supports the Construction Superintendent in managing the day-to-day operations of residential home construction projects. This role helps ensure homes are built safely, on schedule, within quality standards, and in compliance with plans, codes, and company policies. The Residential Construction - Field Associate acts as a field point of contact, coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress, and assisting with inspections and punch lists.
Key Responsibilities
Construction & Scheduling
- Assist in managing daily on-site construction activities for residential homes
- Help maintain construction schedules and coordinate subcontractor workflows
- Monitor job progress and report delays or issues to the Superintendent
- Assist with material deliveries and jobsite logistics
Quality Control
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections to ensure workmanship meets company standards
- Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrections with subcontractors
- Assist with pre-drywall, municipal, and final inspections
- Help complete punch lists and ensure homes are move-in ready
Safety
- Enforce jobsite safety policies and OSHA standards
- Identify potential safety hazards and report or correct issues immediately
- Promote a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
Communication
- Serve as a point of contact for subcontractors on assigned tasks
- Communicate job progress, issues, and updates to the Superintendent
- Assist with homeowner questions or walkthroughs when needed
- Document jobsite activity through photos, notes, and reports
Warranty & Close-Out Support
- Assist in addressing warranty items and service repairs
- Help document completed repairs and coordinate subcontractor callbacks
- Support final close-out documentation and turnover processes
Qualifications
Required
- 1–3 years of experience in residential construction or related field
- Basic understanding of residential construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred
- Experience working with production or volume homebuilders
- Familiarity with building codes and inspection processes
- Experience with MS Office

Physical Requirements

Work Environment
- Field-based role with daily travel to residential construction sites
- Full-time position with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
