Residential House Manger - Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP)

Summary:

The QIDP & Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) homes and the delivery of individualized services to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, coordinates the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs), and supervises direct support staff to guarantee the highest quality of care and support for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management and Oversight:

  • · Supervise and manage the daily operation of CILA homes, ensuring that all regulatory and agency standards are met.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor ISPs and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) for residents, ensuring goals align with individual strengths, preferences, and needs.
  • Chair Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings and ensure ISPs and BSPs are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of programs and services, adjusting plans based on resident progress and data outcomes.
  • Facilitate coordinated delivery of services across all CILA homes, including residential, day programs, and community activities.

Staff Supervision and Development:

  • Supervise, train, and mentor Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other staff to ensure proper implementation of ISPs and program objectives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, manage scheduling, address staffing needs, and participate in disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Provide ongoing staff education on relevant policies, procedures, and best practices, including person-centered planning, Active Treatment, and regulatory compliance.

Client Advocacy and Service Coordination:

  • Advocate for residents' rights and ensure full inclusion in community, recreational, and vocational activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between residents, families, guardians, therapists, medical professionals, and other organizations.
  • Ensure residents have access to required services, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain effective communication with funding agencies and regulatory bodies such as DDS and DHS.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident progress, program adherence, and staff performance.
  • Maintain compliance with Medicaid, HCBS, and state/federal regulations, including DHS Rules 50 and 119.
  • Coordinate and participate in government surveys, audits, and inspections.
  • Track and analyze data related to program outcomes and the implementation of services.

Community Engagement:

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate community-based training, employment, and recreational experiences for residents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to I/DD services.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and assist residents as needed; must lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Stamina to spend significant portions of the day standing, walking, or engaging in direct support activities.
  • Adequate sight, hearing, and emotional stability to perform duties effectively.
  • Ability to use computers, phones, and general office equipment.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
