Residential Household Manager / Family Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and dependable individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of our home and support the smooth functioning of our family life. This role requires exceptional time management, proactive problem-solving skills, and a warm, supportive presence. The ideal candidate will take ownership of household logistics, children’s morning routines including school transportation, pet care, and general household coordination to ensure an efficient, well-managed home environment. This role is vital in ensuring a seamless, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment for our family. The ideal candidate will bring energy, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.

Duties

  • Manage and coordinate children’s morning routines (wake-up, breakfast, preparation for school).
  • Ensure children are safely transported to and from school and activities as needed.
  • Monitor and manage children’s schedules, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain clear communication with parents regarding schedule updates or needs.
  • Oversee daily household operations to maintain organization and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and manage grocery shopping, household supplies, and inventory.
  • Handle life administration tasks (scheduling appointments, managing calendars, coordinating service providers).
  • Maintain orderly common spaces and support general housekeeping tasks.
  • Manage household laundry, including washing, folding, organizing, and seasonal wardrobe rotation as needed.
  • Maintain organized closets, storage areas, and household systems.
  • Provide daily care for two household cats, including feeding, litter maintenance, and monitoring health and well-being.
  • Coordinate veterinary appointments when necessary.
  • Run errands (post office, dry cleaning, returns, etc.).
  • Support other household members with administrative or logistical needs.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively address potential household issues.
  • Meal/Food Prep

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in household management, family or personal assistant roles, nanny, or similar role preferred.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative without constant direction.
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing schedules.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record.
  • Trustworthy, discreet, excellent customer service skills with a friendly yet professional demeanor.
  • Comfortable with pets.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong event planning skills with the ability to organize both small gatherings and large celebrations.
  • Experience in childcare, including supervising children’s activities and routines
  • Expertise in residential cleaning, housekeeping management, laundry, and cooking
  • Supervising experience with household staff or service providers is highly desirable.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • CPR Training.
  • Over 20.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
