Duties

• Install residential HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation units following schematics and design plans
• Conduct system inspections to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards
• Use tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and refrigeration gauges to diagnose issues and perform repairs
• Connect plumbing components and refrigerant lines accurately to optimize system performance
• Read and interpret HVAC schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for precise installation procedures
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on existing systems to improve efficiency and extend lifespan
• Communicate effectively with homeowners to explain system features, maintenance tips, and safety precautions

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction, plumbing, refrigeration, and appliance repair
• Proven service technician experience in HVAC or related fields such as property maintenance or boiler repair
• Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately for installation projects
• Familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and performing equipment repairs with precision
• Experience with welding, boiler systems, or mechanical maintenance enhances your versatility on the job
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely
