Residential Plumbing Apprentice

Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Residential Plumbing Apprentice and kick-start your career in the skilled trades! You will learn to install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems in a variety of residential settings. Responsibilities
Assist senior plumbers with installing and repairing residential plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drain-waste-vent (DWV) systems, and fixtures. Support the setup and operation of power tools, hand tools, and pipe threading equipment to accurately cut, assemble, and install piping. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements and ensure proper installation procedures. Participate in remodeling projects by removing old fixtures, preparing work areas, and installing new plumbing components. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites and properly handling tools and materials. Learn to troubleshoot plumbing issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills to determine appropriate solutions. Assist with maintenance tasks on existing plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation and longevity.

Skills
Strong interest in construction, plumbing, or related trades with a willingness to learn new skills. Experience or familiarity with construction site safety practices is a plus. Basic understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical concepts. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading tools. Knowledge of HVAC systems or handyman experience is advantageous but not required. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material estimations. Good physical stamina for working on construction sites, including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with experienced tradespeople.
