Residential Remodel Designer

Koss Remodeling is a fast-growing, residential remodeling company specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, additions, interior renovations, and full home transformations. We are expanding our design department and are looking for a talented, detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team.

About the Role

As our Interior Designer, you will work directly with clients to design beautiful, functional spaces—everything from complete kitchen transformations to bathroom remodels to full interior layouts. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where your creativity, organization, and communication skills will directly impact the success of each project.

You will be responsible for:

Client Collaboration

• Meeting with clients in-home or in-office to understand goals, style, preferences, and project scope
• Presenting design concepts, material boards, renderings, and finalized design layouts
• Guiding clients through selections to ensure cohesion, functionality, and budget alignment

Design Responsibilities

• Fully designing kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements, and general interior spaces
• Creating floor plans, elevations, and full 3D renderings (experience with design software is a major plus)
• Developing finish schedules, mood boards, product selections, and layout drawings
• Working closely with our production team to ensure designs are practical, functional, and buildable

Material Procurement & Logistics

• Sourcing all materials including cabinetry, tile, flooring, countertops, fixtures, hardware, lighting, etc.
• Purchasing materials and managing all order tracking
• Coordinating delivery schedules, pickups, and returns with field staff and vendors
• Ensuring all materials are on-site and verified before installation begins

Project Coordination

• Maintaining communication with project managers and crew leads
• Ensuring all design documents & selections are clear, organized, and ready for production
• Making adjustments or revisions as needed throughout the project timeline

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in residential interior design—specifically kitchens & bathrooms
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and current design trends
• Ability to create professional 3D renderings (Chief Architect, SketchUp, Cedreo, or similar software preferred)
• Excellent client communication skills and presentation skills
• Strong organization, time-management, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced design/build environment
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Valid driver’s license (client visits required)

Bonus Skills

• Experience working with a remodeling or construction company
• Knowledge of cabinetry design (ProKitchen, 2020 Design, or similar)
• Understanding of building codes, layouts, and practical construction methods
• Vendor relationships or material-procurement experience

Pay: $52,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
