Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of respiratory care practices, with experience in acute and critical care settings. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing advanced respiratory support, patient assessment, and airway management across diverse clinical environments. Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies to patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, lung function tests, and physiological evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Manage airway devices and perform airway clearance procedures, ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort.
- Operate and monitor ventilators, ensuring proper functioning and adjusting settings based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and pulmonology to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Provide emergency respiratory support during critical situations such as trauma or cardiac events, including basic life support (BLS) procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments administered, patient responses, and clinical observations in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Stay current with medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and advancements in respiratory therapy to ensure best practices are followed.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of hospital medicine, ICU protocols, and critical care procedures.
- Strong airway management skills combined with proficiency in ventilator operation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with anatomy and physiology related to respiratory function across geriatrics population .
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments, interpret vital signs, and recognize signs of respiratory distress or deterioration.
- Effective medication administration skills specific to respiratory therapies and acute care needs.
- Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with medical staff, patients, and families within high-pressure environments.

Pay: $23.00 - $34.00 per hour
