RESPONSE Initiative Program Coordinator

Job Overview
The RESPONSE Initiative Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the national expansion and day-to-day operations of the program. This position works closely with RESPONSE physician leaders, the leadership council, and the Director of National Initiatives to coordinate program activities, maintain strong communication among partners, and support reporting and program documentation across multiple states and participating organizations.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a strong interest in public health, community engagement, and overdose prevention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and regularly update internal contact lists and partnership tracking documents for participating organizations and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of program materials, including toolkits, presentations, one-pagers, legislative templates, and other stakeholder resources.
  • Participate in virtual meetings with program leadership, national organizations, community partners, and the RESPONSE Leadership Council; document meeting notes and track follow-up action items.
  • Support scheduling, internal project management, and administrative coordination to ensure program milestones are met.Assist in standardizing communication tools, templates, and materials used across states and partner organizations.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the RESPONSE team as the program expands nationally.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in education, social work, nursing, public health, health sciences, psychology, sociology, or related field.Essential Skills & Desired Work Experience:

Essential Skills & Desired Work Experience:

  • Experience working as an educator or with youth based education programs is a plus
  • Experience in program coordination, project management, or administrative support, preferably in a nonprofit, healthcare, education or public health setting.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Zoom, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with large contact lists and tracking stakeholder engagement.
  • Self-starter mentality, who can prioritize and conduct multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once in a mission-driven environment.Familiarity with clinical or healthcare environments - while this role is not based in a medical setting, an understanding of how hospitals and healthcare systems operate is essential to effectively support and communicate with facility staff.
