Compensation Starting wage is $15.16/hr.

Job Summary

Responsible for stocking and replenishing all items needed behind the bars. Maintain bar cleanliness. Assist bartenders as needed. Ensure tables/bar stools are set for incoming patrons. Stock service stations.

Job Duties

• Restock products and utensils behind the bar.
• Set and clear tables; and ensure furniture, appropriate silverware, condiments and other items are in place to welcome the next party.
• Wipe down tables, bar top, and chairs after each party has departed the bar; and place bar stools along the bar top.
• Take dishes, glasses, and other utensils to the dishwashing area; separate and stack properly.
• Maintain bar cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and/or wiping surfaces.
• Monitor bus tubs and clear periodically.
• Maintain ice supply at the necessary levels for each shift.
• Refill water glasses.
• Assist with presenting menus, as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with bartenders and other positions regarding patrons, table requests, etc.
• Complete and assist with opening and closing duties.
• Complete and assist with daily/weekly cleaning tasks or special projects, as assigned.
• Complete and assist with side work such as refilling/restocking items, rolling silverware.
• Assist servers with bringing beverages or food items to occupied tables.
• Assist with menu station, ensuring menus are presentable and clean.
• Maintain basic knowledge of menu items, specials, and unavailable items.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ensure proper interactions through attentive, courteous and efficient customer service.
• Patiently answer all inquiries of our guests, visitors, and employees and assist them in every way possible.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Assist department, as needed.
• Additional duties, as required.

Qualifications

· Over three months of customer service experience; preferably in restaurants.

· Self-starting and outgoing personality with a pleasant disposition, and strong attention to detail.

· Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with guests and visitors.

Physical Environment

The position performs indoors.

The position constantly requires the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; moving about a full-service restaurant and kitchen.

The position constantly requires the handling of hot plates, cups, and other kitchen items

The position frequently requires to move items up to 50 lbs.

The position occasionally requires to move items up to 100 lbs. and it is occasionally exposed to cleaning chemicals.

The position occasionally requires to perform in a bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling position.
