Mill Valley Kitchen is looking for part-time or full time hosts, for day or evening shifts.

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a seamless dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they arrive and provide a warm welcome.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
• Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times effectively.
• Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area.
• Address guest concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous Host/Host or food service experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Experience in hospitality or hotel environments is a plus.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy restaurant setting.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
