Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly attitude and assist them upon arrival
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using Toast POS system
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest experience
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing accurate information and reservations assistance
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold a welcoming atmosphere
• Collaborate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service flow
• Handle guest inquiries or concerns courteously, demonstrating excellent guest relations and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a positive, energetic attitude
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Toast is advantageous
• Previous hospitality experience is a plus
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices
