Restaurant Manager Job Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficiency and smooth service.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed.
  • Monitor staff performance to deliver excellent customer service.

Staff Management

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and support personnel.
  • Create work schedules, assign duties, and manage shift coverage.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and resolve staff conflicts.
  • Promote teamwork and a positive working environment.

Customer Service

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing complaints, requests, or issues promptly.
  • Monitor dining room and kitchen operations to guarantee excellent food and service quality.
  • Build relationships with regular customers to enhance loyalty and retention.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage budgets to control costs and increase profitability.
  • Monitor expenses such as labor, food, and inventory to optimize resources.
  • Analyze sales, forecast revenue, and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
  • Ensure cash handling procedures, POS systems, and accounting records are accurate and secure.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management

  • Oversee inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies to prevent shortages or waste.
  • Collaborate with vendors to order quality products at competitive prices.
  • Track stock rotation and reduce food spoilage using FIFO (First In, First Out) methods.

Quality Control

  • Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and restrooms in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to uphold hygiene, food safety, and quality standards.

Menu Development and Marketing

  • Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to create or update menus, considering customer preferences and market trends.
  • Plan and implement promotions, discounts, or events to attract more customers.
  • Work on digital marketing strategies, social media updates, and advertising initiatives.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and legal regulations, including food handling, fire safety, and employee safety guidelines.
  • Maintain all necessary permits and licenses for the restaurant.
  • Train staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare reports on sales, expenses, profits, labor costs, and customer feedback.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Use data and feedback to optimize restaurant performance.

Event and Catering Management

  • Plan and coordinate private events, catering orders, and special occasions as needed.
  • Work with customers to meet their specific needs and ensure a memorable experience.

Innovation and Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement to increase productivity and revenue.
  • Stay updated on restaurant industry trends and best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
