Restaurant Manager

A Restaurant Manager in Qatar oversees daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, staff leadership, and financial targets, focusing on service quality, cost control (inventory, labor), team training/scheduling, maintaining hygiene (HACCP), handling complaints, and achieving revenue goals, often requiring experience in the Middle East and knowledge of local health/safety standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Manage daily opening/closing, ensure smooth service, maintain ambiance, and oversee facilities.
  • Guest Experience: Deliver high-quality service, handle feedback/complaints professionally, and act as a role model for hospitality.
  • Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and motivate staff; conduct briefings and enforce policies.
  • Financial Control: Monitor P&L, achieve sales targets, manage inventory, control costs (food, labor), handle cash/sales, and manage tips.
  • Quality & Compliance: Uphold food/beverage quality, hygiene (HACCP), safety standards, and brand/hotel policies.
  • Administration: Manage paperwork, report incidents, conduct stock takes, and ensure all documents reach the accounts department.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous restaurant/hospitality management experience, ideally in the Middle East.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, MS Office, and financial management.
  • Understanding of local health, safety, and sanitation regulations (HACCP).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
